Equal Eyes Vision Services is looking for passionate and talented Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists(COMS).  We have job opportunities all over the great state of North Carolina from the mountains to the coast and everywhere in between.  We serve children and adults with vision loss and blindness and would love for you to join the Team!  We offer a supportive environment, where you can grow professionally and do what you LOVE!

The Equal Eyes Vision Services Team is reaching students and clients who are otherwise being underserved or unserved for their unique needs related to blindness or visual impairment.  We are bringing our knowledge to people who really need it, but might be in an area without access to TVIs or COMS.  When you join the Equal Eyes Team you make a difference… you change lives!

We are not a headhunter, or a recruiting company.  We are a VI-only contracting company with a heart for, and a focus on, improving the lives of folks who are blind or visually impaired.

If you are interested in making your own hours, choosing your schedule and your travel zone, while making a difference in the lives of youth and adults with Visual Impairments, a position with Equal Eyes might be the perfect fit for you!  We offer excellent hourly compensation and travel time compensation, with none of the headaches of extra-duties or expectations of a typical teaching position.  Contracting is a great opportunity for those people interested in working a little or a lot.  Imagine the potential for working part-time, but bringing home the same salary that you currently make in your full time position!  This is certainly a unique opportunity in the field of Education!

Got a “niche” of students/clients that you love to work with?  We try to make that happen, too!

If you want to explore becoming an Equal Eyes Team Member, you should:

  • be certified in your area with at least 3 years of successful experience in your area (or be certifiable in NC after relocation).
  • New VI/O&M Professionals will be considered with excellent references and strong student-teaching experience.
  • LOVE what you do!
  • have a great attitude
  • be willing to grow and contribute to the Team, so that you can help others grow, too
  • be responsible for travel to your work sites
