CVI Endorsement Scholarship Program

Equal Eyes Vision Services is committed to supporting professionals who desire to obtain Perkins-Roman CVI Endorsement through a Scholarship Program.

The CVI Endorsement Scholarship Program provides:

  • Financial support for the Perkins-Roman CVI Endorsement Application ($125 value)
  • New copy of “Cortical Visual Impairment: An Approach to Assessment and Intervention, 2nd Edition” by Dr. Roman-Lantzy  ($65 value)
  • Mentorship through CVI Endorsement Process with Perkins-Roman CVI Endorsee
  • Opportunity to observe evaluations in the Equal Eyes CVI Clinic
  • Letter of Reference for CVI Endorsement Applicants (as appropriate)

CVI Scholarship Recipient requirements:

  • Submit a 500-1000 word essay supporting why applicant wishes to pursue CVI Endorsement, including:
    • Experience and current knowledge of CVI, as well as trainings completed or enrolled in currently
    • How applicant will apply CVI knowledge and endorsement to support children and families with CVI in the future
    • How applicant will advocate for children and families with CVI in the educational system
  • Observe at least 1 CVI Evaluation in the Equal Eyes CVI Clinic during Endorsement process
  • Optional:  Co-score with CVI Mentor in the Equal Eyes CVI Clinic within 6 months of Endorsement completion
  • Include: Name, Address, Phone Number, Email, Employment, Position Title

Equal Eyes Vision Services will award up to 5 CVI Endorsement Scholarships between May 2018 -December 2018.  Applicants should submit their essay to Kimberly Hudson at kim@equaleyesvisionservices.com.  Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of Equal Eyes Vision Services based on quality of essay, applicant’s motivation to be a strong CVI Endorsee and advocate for children with CVI and their families. Applicants will be notified of scholarship decision within 14 days of receipt of application.
